About Carriage House Hives

Our suburban bees travel between our home in Moylan to all over Media, Swarthmore, and Rose Valley.

Our city bees overlook Ben Franklin's house and forage from Old City to Northern Liberties, Center City and South Philadelphia. The apiary is located at 3rd and Market Streets, on the roof above National Mechanics.

The pure raw honey is harvested and bottled by hand in our carriage house, which was built in 1870. In addition to horses and honey, this building once was used for making milk and cheese from goats that lived on the property.

We are proud to continue this tradition of Carriage House crafts.

We are members of the Philadelphia Beekeepers' Guild, Chester County Beekeepers' Association, & Montgomery County Beekeepers' Association of Pennsylvania.
